hmm… must have missed it (part 1)

A capsule collection critiquing capitalism and capitalist production, specifically within the fashion industry. It attempts to break the glamorous façade of fashion and bring attention to elements within the garment’s lifecycle that get hidden, ignored or destroyed under a capitalist system. From the workers who make the clothing often being forgotten in their craft to the environmental consequences that occur as a result of the piece being made. This collection spotlights the behind the scenes relations of the fashion industry as means of pushing transparency and systemic change.
